Mobile World Congress Barcelona #MBMWC17 – Mercedes-Benz original.

Mercedes-Benz’s showing at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, being held from 27 February to 2 March is all about CASE: “Connected”, “Autonomous”, “Shared & Service” and “Electric Drive”. Under the umbrella of the cross-Daimler digitisation strategy, the inventor of the automobile is showcasing products, initiatives and the latest innovations from its research and development activities.

Daimler is driving digital transformation forward at the Mobile World Congress with too with DigitalLife@Daimler: besides the show stand with its wealth of innovations and products and the intriguing sessions at both the conference and the 4YFN startup event, the DigitalLife Café offers an open platform for collective dialogue. One of the real highlights at the MWC are the Live Talks with experts from various Daimler AG business units. Sascha Pallenberg, one of the very first tech bloggers, hosts the Inspiration Talks that will take place three times daily and focus on digital services, trends and the culture of innovation.

Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the SXSW 2017: The Future of Autonomous Driving


Dr. Dieter Zetsche – Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars – was the first CEO of a DAX-listed company visiting the South by Southwest conference as a keynote speaker. In his well-attended lecture about the future of autonomous driving Zetsche emphasised the importance of map services. He is convinced that we primarily need highly accurate location information to unlock the potential of the automotive future we are all dreaming of.

DTM Ice Challenge – Mercedes-Benz original


Before the start of the DTM season 2017, our Mercedes-AMG Motorsport DTM drivers Maro Engel and Lucas Auer went onto the ice and competed against Audi and BMW with two drivers each. In snowy Sweden they drifted, raced and put the cars to the test.
