Mercedes-Benz Media Night – Geneva Motor Show 2016


Mercedes-Benz is introducing a four-seat convertible of its popular C-Class. The world premiere is celebrated at the Mercedes-Benz Media Night on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show. A dynamic suspension ensures sportive and agile handling. The Mercedes-Benz AIRMATIC air suspension first introduced in the S-Class is also available. AIRCAP – the automatic wind deflector – and AIRSCARF – the neck-level heating – optional available provide exceptional comfort for open-top motoring 365 days of the year. The C-Class convertible offers efficient, powerful engines delivering between 115 and 270 kW (156 to 367 hp). The C-Class Cabriolet market launch will be in the summer 2016.

Simultaneously with the world premiere of the C-Class convertible the sports car and performance brand AMG will introduce the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Cabriolet.

For Mercedes-Benz 2016 is the year of the cabriolet and the roadster. No other manufacturer offers so many cabriolets and roadsters as Mercedes-Benz Cars. The latest range of convertible dream cars extends from the smart fortwo cabrio to the S-Class Cabriolet.

Mercedes-Benz is launching into the open-air season with the first cabriolet based on the C-Class, thereby rounding off its range of cabriolets with a classic fabric soft top. The new cabriolet’s design interprets modern luxury with a youthful touch. Featuring plenty of high quality details, its distinctive character is most apparent when the top is down. The open-top C-Class comes with two diesel models, five petrol engines and a six-cylinder AMG version.
